Resort Brokers Australia was established by Managing Director, Ian Crooks, in 1985. Ian already had more than a decade of experience in real estate, operating a successful motel brokerage firm in New Zealand. During that time he also successfully owned and operated a number of motels.
Resort Brokers are specialists in the marketing and sale of management rights leasehold and freehold motels, resorts, hotels, caravan/tourist parks, hospitality venues and all manner of niche market properties such as backpacker hostels, lodges and B&Bs.
Headquartered in Brisbane, the network includes representation in Sydney, Melbourne, and the Gold Coast, along with having a strong presence in Launceston, Darwin, Sunshine Coast, Whitsunday’s, Coral Coast, North Queensland and now Western Australia servicing vast urban, coastal and regional areas

 Here’s another fine example of the wealth of direct industry experience behind Resort Brokers’ remarkable team. Glenn has now been with Resort Brokers based on the Sunshine Coast for the past 4 years with an enviable track record in management rights Sales which say him awarded the Rookie of the Year in 2006 and Australian Management Rights Consultant for 2007.
Glenn’s CV details a stellar record including 10 years in executive recruitment in the Tourism Industry, 10 years in resort management specifically in management rights, over two years as a specialist consultant and six years in tourism and hospitality operations.
It is a career that has taken him to stunning locations – as a Catering Manager on the New Zealand ski fields, Restaurant Manager and Track Manager on the world-famous Milford Track, and Queensland Operations Manager for Unique Resorts properties in the Whitsunday’s and Port Douglas.
In 1993,Glenn bought a leasehold Mackay motel through Resort Brokers in which he re-positioned in the market and sold some 14 moths later for a solid capital gain. He had also operated a large management rights property for The Rendezvous Hotel Group. Now Glenn finds himself in another beautiful part of the world, excelling in accommodation and management rights sales on Queensland Sunshine Coast, North Queensland and Western Australia.
