Bowen
Bowen is located in the northern region of the Whitsunday’s with amazing pristine beaches, stunning bays and a superb tropical climate Situated on the shores of Edgecumbe Bay, a 40 minutes drive north from the Airlie Beach area. It's a picturesque coastal town with eight award-winning, palm-fringed beaches to explore plus great reef, beach and estuary fishing. With a daily average of eight hours of glorious sunshine all through the year, in a tropical environment it can lay claim to having Australia's best climate.
The aqua waters of the Whitsunday’s lap the shores of Bowen's beaches, known as some of Queensland's most pristine. The main beaches are Horseshoe Bay and Queens Beach. Bowen boasts some of the best fringing coral reefs of the Queensland coast a few metres offshore attracting snorkellers and divers keen from all over the world. Large Granite outcrops are a main habitat for a myriad of tropical fish that are prevalent in this part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. There are reefs off the beaches of Horseshoe Bay, Grays Bay, Murray Bay and Rose Bay.
Mackay
Mackay is the centre of the regions massive agriculture and mining industries acting as a hub for these and other growing industries . The City boasts a range of interesting shopping, dining and entertainment options, colourful markets and a lively arts scene.
Mackay Marina Village is a short five minutes drive from the city centre and boasts a world class marina and a growing number of restaurants lining the marina esplanade.
Beached include Harbour Beach which is patrolled year-round, and a stinger resistant enclosure is provided at the following beaches Bucasia Beach. Town, Eimeo and Blacks Beaches. The Iconic Eimeo Pub, is situated high on the headland at Eimeo. With unbeatable views of the Coral Sea and nearby islands.
Airlie Beach
Airlie Beach is the gateway to the Whitsundays, overlooking the Coral Sea and marina’s a haven for all types of water based activities and home to millions of dollars of yachts and motor launches. The town is a colourful, cosmopolitan and inviting centre on the shores of a palm fringed beach and with a purpose build lagoon and parklands. Airlie Beach forms part of a peninsula that reaches out to the Whitsunday Passage and provides the ideal mainland base for holiday fun and adventure in the Whitsundays.

Every Saturday the long running Markets take over the foreshore parkland into a bustling market with stalls selling fresh fruit and veggies, local arts and crafts and all manner of goods under the shade of coconut palms.
The dining and entertainment options in Airlie Beach, ranging from upscale eateries and waterfront dining to al fresco cafes and cheap and cheerful, not to forget the well known Airlie Beach Hotel.
Airlie's clubs and bars provide plenty of entertainment well into the night.
